Pros

Salary is good because of the location in Texas where things are cheaper relatively. You can find and interact with a variety of experts - software, algorithms, systems, digital, analog.

Cons

Lack of technical leadership where decisions are driven by non-technical Program Managers and Sales Managers. Program managers managing technical developers doesn't seem to be effective. Engineering managers with good understanding are required.

Pros

Great benefits and profit sharing, fast paced, challenging work.

Cons

Software technologies used at TI (i.e. TI AutoShell) are not 'standard' so the skills gained are not transferrable. I have heard, however, that Java was in consideration to replace TI AutoShell. Factory automation is important but be aware that if the fab will become 100% automated, there will be a very reduced need for software engineers so, expect a reduction in staff in that case.
