Pros

TI is a company that provides a reasonable amount of stability. There is some opportunity for growth, but those opportunity are primarily focused on manufacturing. Careers in support organizations will be tough to maintain after certain point.

Cons

IT being part of a support organization is just not the focused. The big investment goes into chip design and manufacturing. Design engineers get the best equipment, manufacturing gets the most investment. IT sometimes gets left overs and it is an area that will be set aside if priorities don't match the business.

Pros

- Profit Sharing - Flexibility (Depends on team) - Good people and support, same vibe as everyone struggling through finals together - Management understands technical issues in depth

Cons

- Traditional approach, not a lot of innovation due to nature of projects - Fast paced with not much retaining senior engineers so not a lot of reference for timeline of projects - Poor work life balance
