Feedback channels to Elon are rapidly drying out, leaving the company in a vulnerable position longterm
Pros
An amazing place to have impactful involvements. Generally, very small teams still which allows for major contributions to global products as each person is expected to major initiatives, often with great degree of freedom methods/approach. There are always multiple products / releases urgently being worked on, expect regular long workdays and weekend work. This can be rewarding and even exciting, especially at first, but oftentimes the recognition/rewards come much later. Oftentimes they're deferred repeatedly until teams' grow frustrated. There appears to be notable frustrations amongst multiple orgs/teams as the culture has remained the same (both engineering, which is great, and hr culture), despite the size and financial resources available. There's notable politics and lack of voice amongst upper management, and everyone seems to just follow Elon, which is a big part of the problem, as feedback doesn't flow back up to the decision maker in chief.
Cons
Pros and cons are above.
