Pros

Good salary Good global peers

Cons

Solutions engineer organization is the last bastion of customers' technical support. The SE role & responsibility is not clear. SE's coverage is not only presales activities but also post sales and product supports. Roles are highly dependent on the manager's career background. If the manager comes from an engineering background, he or she is expected to become more tech savvy; if the manager comes from a sales background, he or she is expected to pursue sales. This is directly reflected in the subordinates' evaluations.

Pros

Some talented people are hired, although they leave soon. Good ambiance with colleagues, depending on your department.

Cons

-in Germany, you have to move to Goppingen or else, you don't have a chance to be recognized nor promoted. -You better be a white male or a very good looking white lady in order to advance in your career. -One day, birthday gifts and occasional incentive vouchers suddenly disappeared from the map. You'll be happy and surprised if you get a pen or a keychain once a year. -Work from home policy is not flexible enough, for a company that is supposed to deliver a software for doing so.
