Pros

Peers and supervisors help develop your leadership abilities. A great place to seek employment if you are just starting out or just starting over. Previous warehousing experience is not necessary, if you have the capacity to lead and are capable of giving and receiving feedback, you can do well.

Cons

There is a glass ceiling for promotion to senior group leader. About every one to two years a senior group leader moves on, and 32 group leaders are jockeying for that one position. Also the senior team tends to drag their feet when someone shows interest outside of the distribution center.

Miserable place to work

Pros

Flexible hours, willing to work around school schedule.

Cons

-Management does not care about employees. They cut back hours in order for management to take home large bonuses, but only give employees a 2 cent raise. -There is no way to distinguish your hardwork from the herd since everything is streamlined and management does not know what is going on in the store 75% of the time.

Pros

1. Was promoted from Sales Floor TM to Logistics Team Lead (overnight) w/in 2 months of hire 2. 15% discount 3. Performance, ALL performance (store, co., job, etc), is measured with precise metrics 4. Company has HUGE amount of TL Development tools available, and seeems to take development seriously

Cons

1. TERRIBLE PAY (I'm a TL making $11.36/hr!) and raise structure 2. Store-level HR is an impediment to "Managing Talent" 3. Difficult to maintain work/life balance in an o/n store 4. Benefits package is insufficient 5. Most new-hire ETL's are idiots (but they are usually quite pretty) 6. Must have a degree, even if it's completely irrelevant, like Modern Dance, to get to LOD position
