Pros

Target is a company based around giving and providing feedback. While many can not accept and grow off the feedback provided, this really helped me grow to become a strong leader. I have become a better person and a better leader because of Target.

Cons

Work life balance can be rough if you have a family or significant other. Even if you are a manager, at the end of the day, it is retail. You work retail hours and deal with all the cons of retail. Also, learn to completely block yourself off to the world during 4th quarter. While Target market themselves to promote and show you all of these paths to success and higher paying salaries, it never really seems to come and there is always another bridge you must cross before reaching that goal. "Expect more, pay less" - Target's motto and a good reflection of how they treat the store team members.

Pros

Good benefits; many amenities within the headquarters.

Cons

Within a few months of working here, I turned something in a little late and was sternly talked to by three different people. The head of our group even threatened to get HR involved! I've never had anything even remotely close to this happen to me before. I'm a very conscientious and hard working person. It's also nearly impossible to know why people do and say the things they say. For example, it's possible that I was targeted for reasons that had nothing to do with me (and by the way, every single other person on the team had something late that week). I did _not_ enjoy the politics. Subsequently we were informed we were expected to work 10 hour days everyday, and work Saturdays on-demand. Ugh!

Pros

You'll encounter great people to work with, some guests are also approachable, if you have a degree you might able to become a manager "ETL".

Cons

They cut hours so many times, lack of communication, too stressful at times, too many tasks for one person, management is very pushy towards red cards. They have their favorites as well. I could say a lot more about the Super Target in El Paso...
