Pros

Team work environment Ability to showcase your work talent Steady paycheck Interaction with Target guests

Cons

Lack of flexibility with work schedules so everyone can have a weekend off once in a while. Lack of training. Lack of interaction with ETL due to different work schedules Store Manager and ETLs not listening to team member feedback about staffing, ordering, supplies Senior Management has excessive meetings and tends to not be available to assist individual departments with guest assistance for checkout and team member assistance. Benefits such as medical not available till team member works 1000+ hours and maintains full-time working status. Hours not available to staff extra employees in department, but plenty of overtime is available when workers callout or quit.

Pros

discount worked at a store I've always liked worked with other students my age learned more about the company learned more about retail in general When I started at Target, it was a much better experience for me than when I left. But through changes in management and team members, the store just went downhill. When Target is running properly, it really is a good place to work.

Cons

We had many problems with the management of our store. There weren't enough new hires for a while and we had to few people closing the store. I almost always closed, and we were a high-volume store with as few as six closing some nights. Not all of our LODs would come out to help when we really needed it either. They were also randomly putting team members, even new team members in areas like jewelry or operator with no training. Jewelry we could cover with another softlines team member usually, but it was harder to cover operator. There were some nights when I was the only person in softlines with training in the two areas.
