Pros

The pay is not the worst. They pay above minimum wage at $8.00. The pay will increase but it will take a year or so. If you have a good store with good people, you'll like it.

Cons

Again, it all depends on the management. If they are people with poor communication skills and do not keep the morale up, you won't like the experience there.

Wasting my time.

Pros

Flexible scheduling. Not afraid to place trust in new employees.

Cons

Extremely low pay. I work at a Super Target that is raking it in. 75% of the store is working part time. They expect employees to satisfy their hourly needs by convincing other employees to give up their own hours so that they can fill in. High turnover.

Pros

Fun and recognizable brand, high-performing culture, opportunity to run a business as a buyer, lengthy training program that combines classroom and on-the-job experience

Cons

For MBAs coming in, there's still a fair amount of culture clash between those who have grown up in the organization and those who come in from the outside; the "Fast Fun Friendly" culture mantra can feel excessively forced; the amount of time it takes to get placed into a full-time role after buyer training can be lengthy
