Pros

The store provides a very optimistic environment and the specialized placement of employees allows you to fully learn your area and better assist customers.

Cons

There is only a small window open for promotion to the next level in the store. Most employees are hired and sales representatives and are unable to move into Management positions.

Pros

Target has a very friendly atmosphere with regards to the relationship between management and employees. There is an open door policy so you youcan take any problems straight to management.

Cons

There are about 25 different departments in a store and you usually work in about half of them. You could be asked about sports equipment one day and bedding the next.

Pros

Good pay and benefits. Only about 50 hours a week, not a cubicle job and don't have to get dressed up: polos and khakis will do. Very leadership based.

Cons

Not glamorous at all. Working alongside hourly employees and pushing freight. Makes me reconsider the importance of holding a Master's Degree. Not considered a "professional" job.
