Pros

- Work life balance: you get to work from home when ever the weather is bad. As long as you get your work done, WFH is not a problem

Cons

This is specific to EDABI - BI & Analytics: - No career profession: Leaders recognize that you need to be promoted but do not promote you. I've heard a leader say that until someone from a higher level leaves, they will not promote you. Some cite budget constraints. Many end up being in the same level for more than 6-7 years. - There are many directors who do not really do any meaningful work. - Salary is below national average for BIA teams - Lack of direction in terms of technology tools. This has lead to people doing unnecessary and unimportant work. - Weak job titles. Creating front end reports is only about 5% of my job.

District and group leadership is a lost cause.

Pros

Team members and guests. Benefits were ok.

Cons

It's a very different company then when I first started well over a decade ago. The leadership has completely rotted over the last few years becoming very self serving and unconcerned about the brand and morale of the stores. It seems that a few key "leaders" are more concerned about getting selfies with pop stars then about getting to know the teams that work for them. Unlike the former leaders who made you feel like you were part of a team, this group lacks loyalty, morals and will sacrifice others to get to the next level. knowing what I know now by seeing it first hand, I would advise anyone seeking a management position, especially in the North East, to pass this company up. Do not waste your valuable time with the Target of today! Take less money in the beginning if you have to with a company that treats people with respect and values your skills. There are MANY others in management and district support positions that feel this way however most fear retaliation and will not write a truthful review because of it. Consider this a heads up.
