Pros

Good salary, hours and conditions compared to other airlines, great commission. Flexible, can go part-time (75% or 50%) and are able to swap flights for days off, or pick up extra flights from other crew members Nice long-haul destinations. Empathetic managers.

Cons

Begins on a fixed-term contract, with winter work not guaranteed, Staff travel is limited and not very flexible at all, and you are not even eligible for it until you are made permanent. Long-haul in-flight service is inefficient and time-consuming. Could definitely be streamlined. Bidding system is absolutely shocking, not fit-for-purpose. Uniform could be made from superior quality materials, feels and looks a bit cheap. Very little career progression; don't expect a promotion to cabin manager for at least 12+ years, and promotions are based on seniority (not merit) which is just ridiculous.

Thank you for your feedback—it’s great to hear your comments regarding flexibility and salary. Also that you find our Managers empathetic. While we acknowledge your comments regarding Contract terms, Bidding System and Career progression we’re actively working on enhancing these aspects. We encourage you to actively discuss career growth with your manager. Our "Great Place to Grow" conversations provide a good occasion and a more structured way to pick this up. We value your input, as it helps us identify areas where we can improve the employee experience. Best wishes from the TUI Employer Brand Social Media Team
