Pros

Nothing really positive as an environment

Cons

The most humiliating experience of my life. I strongly ask people before applying for job at TUI to reconsider. I was racially abused on a daily basis by my superior and senior managers. Part of a Flemish Dutch speaking team , I was directly told that I don't deserve to be served any food unless I speak Dutch ... that was our daily communication ... Everything well hidden of course. Finance director highly incompetent , you don't know thing one day , they ask you to do completely the opposite the other day. Also women have advantages over man , guess why ... Toxic,, disgusting environment ... HR doesnt exist , you cant complain or do anything ...

Pros

Great name in the industry, generally well experienced colleagues, exciting job, travel vouchers awarded depending on length of service.

Cons

For the most-part, it’s a fun and exciting job… Who doesn’t want to think about holidays 24/7? But it can become extremely competitive given that the sales staff work on commission. Managers tend to move from one store to another (I worked there for 3 years and had 4 different managers) and if not up to expectations in the amount of profit you’re making for the company, the manager will let it be known. I experienced being humiliated in front of the entire team for not hitting a target. There is a lot of favouritism between managers/regional managers and some staff members. Since a lot in the industry have been so for a long time, everyone gets to know everyone. Our area manager was best friends with our shop manager so when one of the other girls in the shop tried to raise a grievance against her for bullying, nothing happened. It was brushed under the carpet & said colleague ended up leaving as a result of the backlash. Overall, loved the job itself, but the people… That’s another question.
