Pros

Associates and customers. Always something to change and or work on. There is a great work life balance for management. There are advancement opportunities if you are willing to work for them

Cons

Never enough payroll. Understaffed. Not the best communication among management.

Pros

Most of my coworkers were around my age (late teens, early twenties) and I was able to from some really great friendships with them. It's a very fast paced environment to work in so you will always have something to do. They like to promote from within, so if a supervisor leaves for whatever reason, they like to promote regular associates to those positions instead of hiring from outside.

Cons

Poor management - seems to not care about employees. They really try to make you sell those TJX Credit Cards. They tell you that you'll be scheduled everywhere in the store, but after a couple weeks that doesn't happen and you pretty much get put in one place all the time and have to deal with it. Starts at minimum wage and they give raises once a year to everyone (proportional to how long you've been working there by the time they give raises and also based on your performance review).. but don't get too excited because they are only about $0.25 raises per year.

Pros

They are extremely flexible and your shifts are easy. They don't complain about what you can't get done because they understand the merchandise that you have to push out is not enough time for what they schedule you for. The managers ive had, let you stay longer if you wish to (usually). they usually pay for snow days or days you were scheduled and they had to close the store

Cons

low pay; almost minimum wage. little to no increase in pay.. unless they promote you to coordinator within a year or two.
