Business Outlook
Pros
Fits nicely around studies (e.g. can work only weekends on an 8 hour contract). Can pick up more hours in holiday breaks. You're paid well for this type of work. Little responsibility.
Cons
You're easily replaceable, and so the work you do is not valued. Related to this, the nature of the work is mind-numbingly boring and not intellectually stimulating. Customers can be incredibly difficult/rude at times and treat you with complete disrespect. Some managers expect associates to stay late at work, especially after busy days. Very hit and miss with managers, with some being very hard working and always on the shop floor vs those that are cooped up the office drinking coffee (all day).
