Can be a toxic culture in some departments operating in a bubble. Many people have worked there for a long time, so are resistant to change.

Never appreciated, Never given feedback on work, Rude management, Always put on an 8 hour contract but expected to work at least 20hrs a week (Easier for them as they only have to pay the 8hours for holiday pay), Difficult to progress, false promises, Team meetings that you’re expected to attend on Sundays, favouritism if your face fits, Rota is sometimes never done until a few days before the week starts - making it impossible to plan ahead.
