      Great company, dragged down by old-school sales mentality & behaviour

      Pros

      Great people to work with. The products are leaders in their respective patches. Talent is recognized, and there are lots of opportunities for growth or lateral development within the company. Many people have been with SAG for 10+ years plus, and a long IT career is very much possible here.

      Cons

      Some smaller regions, acquired from other brands, are left to their own devices. Money is very much king here. Workload can be too much at times. Internal CPQ systems are badly integrated, although that has started to improve when I left. Biggest drawback and my reason for leaving such a good company: bullying and toxic sales behaviors are tolerated by the company, and demotivates the good employees. Churn of good people is quite high as a result. If you're senior with a large quota, you can get away with anything. HR is not responsive to these kinds of reports, in my experience.

      Pros

      good work life balance. Independence to work in your area. few in top management are open to hear your views and suggestions.

      Cons

      too many frequent changes overall in management, business, overall work. many people in higher management aren't open to hear or open for changes.

      A great multinational company to work for

      I've been very pleased with culture, leadership and day to day work. Compensation is competitive. Peers are top notch.

      Cons

      Some outdated vacation policies. Travel and expense handling is cumbersome and not super friendly for employees.
