Pros

1. Quick Hiring Process: The company responded to my application quickly, and the hiring process moved fast, with interviews scheduled promptly. 2. Initial Flexibility: During the hiring process, there was a promise of flexibility regarding work schedules, which could be appealing for those with specific availability needs. Olga Kim, [Aug 26, 2024 at 2:04:35 PM]: ... recently applied for a position at this car rental company and had a very disappointing experience. The hiring process was quick, with multiple interviews on the same day, and I was asked to accept the job offer immediately. During the interviews, I clearly mentioned that I have a side business, which requires me to work on weekends, and that I would need a schedule that allows me to work from Monday to Thursday only. To avoid any confusion, I met with the branch manager before accepting the job, and he assured me that he could be flexible with my schedule. After my background check was completed, I met with him again to confirm my availability. We specifically discussed that I could only work weekdays and occasionally help on weekends, which he agreed to. However, after completing the online training, I received a schedule that had me working all weekends for the rest of the month. When I raised this issue with the manager, he claimed to have misunderstood our agreement, despite the fact that Human Resources was involved in our discussions. Both the manager and HR began denying what was originally agreed upon. Additionally, the onboarding process was very frustrating. The link for the onboarding documents was sent to my spam folder, and when I finally found it, the link didn’t work because there were two profiles attached to my email. This caused a lot of confusion and stress. I had to complete the onboarding documents in a rush during my training, without the opportunity to thoroughly review the contract. The company even threatened to terminate me if I didn’t complete it immediately. Due to this lack of transparency, poor communication, and technical issues, I resigned on the same day. I would advise anyone considering a job with this company to be very cautious. Make sure to have all discussions regarding your schedule and pay in writing. Also, do not leave your current job until you are certain that all conditions and agreements have been thoroughly documented and confirmed.

Cons

1. Poor Communication: There was a significant communication breakdown between management, HR, and myself regarding the agreed-upon work schedule. 2. Lack of Transparency: Despite multiple discussions about my availability, the final schedule did not reflect our agreement, and the company did not honor the commitments made. I had to resign on the same day right after completing their basic e-learning and webinar trainings. 3. Unreliable Agreements: Even after having clear conversations and confirmations with the branch manager, the company did not adhere to what was agreed upon, which shows a lack of reliability and trustworthiness. 4. Conflicting Information: When I brought up the schedule issue, both the manager and HR denied our prior agreements, demonstrating inconsistency and a lack of accountability. 5. Need for Written Proof: The experience highlighted the necessity of having all agreements in writing, as verbal commitments were not upheld.
