Pros

Nothing except salary and camaraderie between teams.

Cons

I finally decided to share my terrible experience working at Sixt Portugal's Tech Hub in Lisbon, particularly under the management of the Customer and Sales Service teams in Portugal and France. This is not a personal attack, but rather an effort to clear my conscience and to shed light on behavior that should be severely condemned in Portugal. I was subjected to workplace harassment, with inconsistent feedback that varied depending on who I spoke to. My manager claimed that colleagues were complaining about my performance, but when I approached those same colleagues, I received positive feedback. Nothing aligned. Despite my efforts to address these discrepancies, talking to HR, reaching out to management in Portugal, but nothing changed. It felt like I was hitting a brick wall, with no desire of anyone to clarity or find a resolution. The final straw came when I requested a meeting with all involved parties to clarify the situation. Four days later, I was abruptly notified that my contract would not be renewed. Before leaving, I made sure to express my thoughts directly to the management in Portugal including HR, but the direction lacked of empathy and professionalism, showed no hesitation in employing manipulative and degrading tactics. And the HR do not have any power to do anything, even if they see bad things happening they will not be able to act. The harassment I endured was appalling, eroding my confidence and making me question my own abilities—all seemingly out of malice. Sixt loves to portray itself as a "family company," but let me be clear: there is nothing family-like about their workplace culture. They will only marginalised you. I strongly urge anyone considering joining Sixt Portugal's Tech Hub to think twice. Words are not enough to describe how toxic and dehumanizing this experience was.

Pros

None as they don’t treat staff well or value hard working people,

Cons

Long working hours Little to no progression You don’t get treated well Senior management bully you Commission not paid quarterly but after 5 months. Your voice is silenced No reasonable adjustments on company car for disabled members of staff rather told that it was my fault for choosing to join the business and it’s my responsibility despite a company car being a benefit, didn’t even grant car allowance. I tried to help staff as much as I can but they were being neglected, people with mental health issues were not given a voice to speak up, fatal injuries at work were covered up and those individuals have to suffer in silence or get the sack. You are made to work hours that are not fit for human’s, if you work extra 20 hours a week to catch up with work but come 1 hour late you are given a warning. Senior management can start late and finish early without informing anyone as they wish cause they do not have to clock in and out which creates inequality.
