We appreciate you taking the time to express your feedback. It is concerning to know that you did not enjoy your time with us. Across the United States we invest in very polished and professional individuals that we feel would properly execute their specific roles and provide five star quality service to our customers. Our managers and corporate trainers provide months of ongoing training for all new hires, whether management or entry level, because we are aware that it takes time to fully mature into a position. There are rare instances out of our control that may cause a new hire to exit early, however, this is not ideal or encouraged. We wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors and please feel free to reach out with any additional concerns.

Pros

Coworkers are mostly great and direct manager is open for communication

Cons

After a phase of firing which made everyone nervous, now the next hit: extreme cut of the benefits offered. While a 401K isn't offered at all, the healthcare insurance just spiraled out of control. The cheapest plan means almost $2,000 yearly more out of our pockets compared to last year and it's not like it goes into a health savings or whatnot. Yes, healthcare got more expensive, but nothing justifies a 100%+ increase unless they want to push their part onto the employees. Everything of course sneaked in with no word from upper management and after you can buy from marketplace. Highly disappointing for a well known corporation like Sixt and it looks like the great coworkers will be gone soon, as pay raises don't compare

Thank you for reviewing Sixt. It’s great to hear that you enjoy your co-workers and appreciate the open door policy that our managers have. We appreciate your dedication over the years’ time that you have been with the company. We understand your concern regarding health insurance. Medical premiums have gone up across the country due to the Affordable Care Act’s (ACA) minimum essential coverage mandate. Regrettably, this has placed us in this tough situation. It was not something we could have predicted well in advance. After comparing different plans across multiple carriers (United, Cigna, Florida Blue, etc) the plans we are offering are the cheapest and most comprehensive available for the company. Compared to other carriers, the rates we are offering are very low, even against those offered on The Marketplace. Before the ACA, premiums rose from year to year and Sixt was able to cushion that blow for employees by absorbing the annual increase in premiums. Since 2011, employees have only seen one increase in premiums in 2015 when the deduction for our bronze plan increased from $0 to $10 per pay check (bi-weekly). Unfortunately this year, in effort to offer the same type of plans and coverage that our employees have become accustomed to, and is now mandated, we had to share the burden of cost with our employees. This is not and has never been our intent. Next year, during open enrollment, we hope to be able to more heavily subsidize the employer sponsored healthcare offerings, once again lowering the deductions for employees. Please keep in mind, plans on “The Marketplace,” may at first appear to have a lower cost, however, those plans tend to have higher deductibles, higher out of pocket costs and a smaller network of coverage. Please remember that premium cost is not the only factor in what a person will pay for coverage. The plans we are offering are less expensive and provide better coverage than what an employee can find on their own. Our goal is to continue to provide the best coverage at the most affordable price for our employees. Sixt is moving forward and growing strong. We appreciate your patience while we encounter some growing pains, typical of a start-up organization. If you have additional questions, comments or concerns, you are welcome to contact our VP of Human Resources, Gaddy Fernandez at 954-874-1793.
