Pros

Siemens is a recognizable brand and that always add more that what it takes from your CV. It is a great company to interact globally with many different branches and you are often involved with projects of leading technology. Flexible hours.

Cons

Corruption scandals and media attention are deffinitly hurting the reputation of the company and it´s employees. A lot of pressure is being applied, at my personal beliefe, at the wrong levels of the organization. It seems that the company has lost momentum since it is focus on products and not value adding to the customers. The messages that are sent by the senior management to the teams differ from the actions that are taken to messure them, so most of the people just don´t push for the changes that the company really needs. There is a shared vision among employees that salaries are lower than the market, and the bonus is not really link to the performance that the company has been achieving.

Pros

Siemens has a good benefit program. Siemens will work with their employee when it it necessary for time away from the office.

Cons

Favoritism shown to fellow employees. There are alot of people in positions that do not have the qualities it takes to handle their duties.

Pros

Siemens provides high performing employees with opportunities to not only move up in the defined career paths but between them as well. For US employees in Siemens Medical, there is a strong sense that all employees will be heard by Sr. Management and we have the ability to make OUR company stronger internally and in the marketplace. While work-life balance still seems to be lip service in the general manager population, there are many specific managers who take this topic to be important for employee morale and success of the company.

Cons

While questioning and challenging the status quo is acceptable within US groups, this is not the norm for our German counterparts. US employees can easily get a bad reputation for following US social norms when dealing with our German Collegues, For many US employees, it is expected to work more than 10-12 hours a day. Siemens Medical in Malvern is known in the Philadelphia area as a "low payer."
