Pros

There is a lot of room for growth within the company. A lot of the managers here are good at teaching new things and new processes to people with less experience. My coworkers are friendly and there is a really good team atmosphere. The tools used at work are very helpful. Overall, I enjoy working with my team and working under my current department.

Cons

The work atmosphere can be competitive at times in terms of dealing with other people in similar positions. Sometimes you have to work late hours and long days. Overall, sometimes task can become tedious and mundane.

Pros

Raytheon is a great place to work if you have a family and you really need work/life balance. Its a great place if you enjoy being comfortable with your job and you are somewhat interested in career growth. The people at Raytheon are very nice and helpful. They also have great benefits.

Cons

Raytheon is average at best in compensation and raises. There are no guidelines in terms how you can grow to the next position. If you feel that you should be up for promotion, nothing will be done unless you push to initiate the process.

Pros

I was lucky to be placed under an amazing boss. He was very supportive and helpful the entire time I was there. Most of the other employees were nice and helpful as well. There is definite room for growth in your career at Raytheon if you want it. You really need to make it known that you are trying to advance your career and be proactive in making it happen. They do a lot of fun things like popcorn Wednesday and Monday madness to keep work interesting. They also have a lot of programs to get involved in like Active for Life.

Cons

They never fire anyone. This may seem like a good thing because it means great job security but it also means that you are working with a lot of lazy people. This means that the majority of the work is done by a very select few people and these people aren't getting recognized for their hard work. Also, because everyone has been working there for so long, there are a lot of personal relationships that get in the way of work. Some managers will give merit increases to the employee they think needs the money the most, not the employee that works hardest. This is incredibly frustrating.
