Pros

Beautiful office, nice perks like lunch and a gym and fresh fruit on a daily basis. For those that like a challenge, there are numerous opportunities to improve market presence and internal processes.

Cons

Independent thinking is considered a flaw at QAD - the executive committee is content with status quo and surfacing alternative ideas can be seen as insubordinate. “Just do what you are told” are unspoken words at QAD. The leadership team lacks experience outside QAD and regularly rejects proven best practices and data driven decision making. The insular command-and-control culture can be very frustrating to those who see opportunity to improve things. For a company that prides itself on building the effective enterprise, it is ironic that QAD’s business processes are not operating at peak efficiency nor perfectly aligned with their strategic goals.

Pros

The people. The original owners and previous CEO did a great job of creating a nice culture and everyone got on really well

Cons

They were sold a few years ago and things slowly got worse but it was still a decent place to work. A new CEO was hired this year and he is ruthless. He'll casually drop callous comments on all hands calls talking about laying off staff. He comes across as a deeply unpleasant person and has destroyed the culture that took years to create Staff no longer have a work life balance. There's now an expectation that people will work longer hours and even on weekends. There's no recognition for this extra work. There are mass redundancies globally. Entire teams who have put in extra hours for months are being let go with no thought to where their workload will go. There's no handover plan either, so the staff left behind will be scrambling to figure things out by themselves Large customers are leaving the company. It really has the feeling of a sinking ship. 90% of the issues are driven by the CEO
