Pros

PwC is a great place to start a career - you'll learn more and have more access to high level executives than just about any other job right out of school. The training and developmental opportunities are second to none.

Cons

Work life balance is tough. Typically I travel 25% - 35% of the year and for months at a time I average 70 hour weeks. I think this is fairly typical of public accounting, however. There is some flexibility, but the bottom line is that you are at the mercy of your clients. If you want to work an 8 to 5 job, this isn't it.

Pros

three reasons to work for PwC include: 1) Great, intelligent people - You will always learn something new. 2) Great place to launch a career - You will meet contacts/people at a wide variety of clients. 3) Great opportunities if you know the right people.

Cons

Three downsides - 1) Opportunities at PwC are available, however, you need to be connected with the right individuals. 2) Taking advantage of benefits such as tuition reimbursement is hard to do. 3) Burn-out is common after 3-5 years.

Pros

What initially attracts you to the Firm is it's Brand name credibility. As things go on you find yourself with a massive range of opportunities in every area you could possible imagine and a few that you would never have thought of in a million years. It is a firm where you are 2 calls away from the answer to anything because you either know someone who knows or they know someone who knows. It is also a place where you can have fun at the same time as you are making a difference where some of the projects can transform organisations.

Cons

Sometimes you can end up in a valuable role with very limited advancement opportunities
