Pros

PwC is an excellent place to boost your resume and gain the requisite CPA experience. After working for a year or two the work can get a little repetitive. It is not until you reach the higher levels of management that you are involved in the real complex analysis. The training is also top notch. Associates are on the bleeding edge of the developments in the accounting world (Fair Value, IFRS, etc.)

Cons

The demand to work countless hours of unpaid overtime is far and away the biggest downside. There is an expectation that you eat, breath and sleep PwC, no matter what the corporate branding says otherwise.

Pros

The firm is well respected and well connected. It offers fantastic on the job training opportunities for interacting with clients. It's a challenge - there are many long days, but the firm recognizes that and in the 'off season' the job is quite flexible. Compensation seems competitive. However, from what I gather, does not seem to increase as much as you would expect until you hit the manager level. You don't really have a 'boss' in the traditional sense because you're often switching teams.

Cons

Audit work is seldom interesting. Projects are often understaffed which leads to an imbalance of hours.
