Pros

The company is fun, fast paced and engaged. If you're looking for a place where you will have impact and work on products that ship, this is a good place. The company is growing fast and it comes with some pains but management is listening to feedback and working to make things work for everyone The tech stack is modern and continually keeps improving. Engineers around you are clever, experienced and very helpful. A good place to work and learn

Cons

The company is (and has been) growing very fast which is hard to keep up with. I think this goes for every company that goes through hypergrowth

Pros

Personio has very collaborative and smart colleagues and it's a really enjoyable work environment. In general, it's a low ego and low politics environment where you can come into work and make impact. Teams are really empowered to make decisions based on what is best for them and there is a very open and trusting relationship across the company. Recently there has been really strong momentum and focus on our culture, such our new Personio Principles being launched.

Cons

It's been interesting to read some of the more negative reviews here. While there are some things that could be better, particularly as we grow out our management teams, I think most of them seem to be extreme verging on hyperbolic and they don't match my experience in the business. As an early stage company there are some processes that can be improved as the company scales.

Pros

Personio's growth to date is really impressive, the talent they've been able to hire in offices like Munich are fantastic and just within the team I've taken over - there's so much potential for the future! With a very flat structure and autonomy to execute how best you see fit, you really can be a master of your own destiny here. There's lots of offices in Europe so hiring the right talent isn't limited to geo and the business runs well "remotely". They truly care about you as a person, I would have no concerns reaching out for help or feeling judged if I needed extra support The London office is in a great location and everyone is really friendly, free weekly lunches bring everyone together and there are perks like Gympass

Cons

Growing pains; the business has outgrown many of the people in a lot of ways and Personio is playing catch up on hiring the right management team to give proper direction to tackle the next phase. There's still a lot of "startup" hacks everywhere (google sheets instead of systems, slack for process, lack of direction in areas, decision by democracy at the cost of speed and inexperienced people managers) BUT all of these are being addressed and constantly communicated about so if you're a new hire; just focus on what you can control and leverage the experience of watching a company glow up. This company is definitely going places
