      Pros

      Great corporate facility, lots of great people to work with. Over my tenure I have generally done well: travel, salary, roles.

      Cons

      Increasing lack of focus on corporate direction. High level theme is constant but path to achieve is ever changing: PTC = Prepare to change. Loss of confidence in senior management over time. Growth opportunities diminish in the medium to higher ranks.

      8 years now with PTC as a Program Manager...

      Pros

      Flexible, lots of home office, managers usually consider Project and Program Managers as owners of their team, such as a small business environment. Good company to progress fast, and good software editor to progress on all kind of technologies and processes related to the Manufacturing world. Good entrepreneurial spirit. Good wages. Good products, especially Windchill now.

      Cons

      Lots of work, too many managers (never seen so many VPs and related title in my life before), too much internal reporting and meetings. As a Program Manager, or PM, you are always in a situation where you have to justify yourself for whatever situation.

      Cool products, lots of smart people

      Cons

      This is not a 9 - 5 type of place. More like 5 - 9 is the expectation. Raises are minimal if at all. As an employee I never felt that I really knew what the company's vision was because they changed it every 6 months.
