      First Class People, Second Class Products, Class-less Strategy

      Pros

      Quick and fast paced environment. Great People (although they are leaving in droves). Some technologies actually work.

      Cons

      No coherent product-strategy. Acquisitions reminds of a spoilt child at a do-it-yourself store, buying a few things and scrapping what could not be made sense of. Zero focus on customer or employees. Some employees had reduction in base salary and an increase in variable pay to show net increase. Dog-eat-dog culture. NO work-life balance.

      volatile employment situation, job security is not one of the attributes here. Work/Life balance suffers from globalization

      A creative company that is spearheaded with great thought leadership, PTC is an exciting place to work. We have exciting and diverse customers who design and support their products with our products - their products are around you every day. We sponsor FIRST, and in recent years have been fostering a culture that understands and supports the importance of family and work life balance. Work life balance will always be harder for those that must travel.

      Cons

      We are a large company that changes focus as market opportunities arise. This ambiguity and change can be difficult and disrupting for some. It can also be quite be difficult to move up depending on where you are in the company.
