      Great People, Low Stability

      Pros

      Work life balance, great people, innovative. There are opportunities for professional growth but not necessarily promotions. Generous PTO.

      Cons

      Unstable company that is always undergoing change and having layoffs. Salaries are below market which causes occasional attrition waves in the staff. Senior management says they value employees, but employees often feel that is empty talk.

      Really curious about next few years

      Pros

      Great legacy product (Pro/E aka Creo), that has a diverse customer base. Relatively small/midsize company that is ambitious, and thinks and acts like a bigger company. Not too many free loaders. With regular layoffs, most employees are conscious about delivering value.

      Cons

      They have big ambitions, but they haven't really "popped" except for a brief period in the early 90s. Easily distracted. High margin focus, don't have grit or discipline to grind it out with mature products. Perpetual state of layoffs/RIFs.

      Great Vision -- It's the Execution...

      Pros

      Vision is solid and provides a good outlook for the industry given all the pieces are in the stable for some real game changing innovation in the product development space.

      Cons

      Tend to trip over themselves on the execution front. The organization doesn't integrate the acquisitions overly well, doesn't seem to respect the knowledge of those coming in nor how to innovate within the large corporate structure that grew very large very fast.
