      Great people, going through massive transition

      Pros

      I worked for PTC for over 10 years, and had the pleasure to work with some incredibly smart and talented individuals. The team members pushed each other and you learned alot.

      Cons

      The culture was tough. There was a lot of yelling. And the company was starting to go through a massive transition as they started to look at the opportunity with the Internet of Things.

      Pros

      Good work life balance, specially for women who get close to 4 months of maternity leave and work from home after. Very similar to public sector, not much work pressure or high expectations.

      Cons

      Very bureaucratic. Senior management is filled with technical people, who are not good people managers. Promotion is based on number of years of service in the organization and not on an individuals performance. Lack of direction and leadership, thus the below management level employees are less motivated or the one's who are self motivated quit.

      If you don't want to work, corrode your knowledge, this company is for you.

      Cons

      - Massive lay-offs (at-least twice a year in India). - Salary revision after every 2 years (consistent since past 6 years). - They can layoff anyone, no-one is safe. - Company has no long-term vision (vision keeps on changing every 6 months) - Many failed acquisitions - Lot of old age crowd
