Good organisation for people giving prefference to family while working adequately.

Good organisation to learn work with minimum pressure, support from senior, plenty of perks, not to harsh job as its govt organisation.

Cons

As such their is not any negative reason of working at ONGC, but if u feel ambitious then keep on trying out side.

Exposure is the best part as in India E&P simply means ONGC as it's the flagship player with 90% stake in indigenous production

Cons

Unrequited number of workers in the organisation, instead of getting a help from them there generally is a chaos to grab the quality work. It ultimately leads in dirty politics.
