Pros

Some truly brilliant, ethical, visionary colleagues who want to take the organisation to the next level. Outstanding technical expertise.

Cons

Culture of bullying and silencing women, lack of interest in constructive feedback and diverse viewpoints, lack of strategic alignment, lack of understanding and literacy on modern business and collaborative best practises. Cronyism, secrecy and siloes are the norm and senior leadership seems clueless about what's happening on the ground.

Dear former colleague, Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback and recommendations with us. We deeply regret that you perceived your work experience at Munich Re as unequal and intransparent. This is absolutely not in line with our values and beliefs. Diversity, equity and inclusion are an integral part of our business strategy and deeply embedded in our culture and business processes, as we strive to ensure equal opportunities for all employees. Among other things, we have therefore set ourselves the goal of increasing the proportion of women in all management positions globally and Group-wide to 40% by the end of 2025 and promoting diversity in our teams through balanced staffing. We would like to encourage you to reach out to the following e-mail address with more details regarding the different challenges and issues: p0060018221@munichre.com. This will help us to continuously develop our processes. We wish you all the best for your professional future. Warm regards, Munich Re

Pros

Global company with many opportunities for both insurance industry professionals and other business disciplines. Good overall leadership in all regions and a wealth of development opportunities.

Cons

Global leadership is often too bureaucratic leading to a lack of innovation at a global level. Local area entities often outpace the global hub in areas of business innovation and employee development.
