Cons

very managereal type of company, you have to make yourself to be seen as KPIs aren't enough its whats beyond the KPIs that matters and that is your soft skills (again due to being a managereal company), role switches within the company are veryu hard

Pros

Microsoft changed my life financially, but robbed my over every social aspect of my life. I'm so grateful for all the doors Microsoft has opened for me, but deeply saddened at the internal state of the company.

Cons

Microsoft is struggling to find its footing in the AI era. Internally, priorities shift constantly, often without a clear execution plan or a realistic path to delivery. As a result, many projects lose momentum, become deprioritized, or quietly disappear after significant time and effort have already been invested. There is also a recurring pattern where motivated employees are asked to take on additional work simply because they are willing and capable. In the current AI focused business climate, leadership is increasingly focused on measurable outcomes, but many initiatives are still launched without clear ownership, strong management direction, or a practical understanding of what execution will actually require. This creates an environment where employees are often left trying to prove the value of their work while also being pushed toward new initiatives that may not be well defined or properly supported. The result is wasted effort, shifting expectations, and frustration for the people trying to deliver meaningful results.
