      good work life balance overall. great coworkers.

      Cons

      insurance premiums have gone up and coverage has gone down. It feels like they could offer more premium benefits, but choose not to.

      Pros

      I have been working at several companies, large and startups, in various industries. MathWorks is the same titan of the industry like Google or Microsoft. Even though it is big, it is being run very efficiently. It is refreshing to be in a company where passionate people create great products. Company really understand how to build quality software on a large scale and is a true pioneer in the industry.

      Cons

      For people from Boston the commute could be challenging. Also those in favor of "fast pace", "make quick decisions", "lean", "mean" and whatever latest buzzwords are may not find it here. But this may not be a con after all - they know what kind of business they are in.
