No growth opportunities in India

Pros

Less pressure. A lot of trainings in the Engineering Development Group. A chance to go to Boston to attend the orientation program.

Cons

Very less opportunities in India. There is no transparency in the departments to transfer into. People have to stay in the Engineering Development Group for many years till they find a transfer department due to very little options.

Pros

- HQ in Natick seems like a nice place with good intentions - Nice atmosfear

Cons

- People are threatened by management - They treat people well when they need you but eliminate you if they don’t need you - Everyone is too scared to speak up. Even before the exit interview management makes sure people don’t speak up - The smart once leave, in sales basically no one stays more than 1-2 years - MD needs to be diagnoses by medical professional - Me however, I’m stuck and desperate to find a new job. It is really the badest place I have ever been to

Pros

MathWorks is a good company that pays fairly and has lots of good benefits. It's very successful, and can be a fun place.

Cons

Rather than help poor performers improve, they just fire people ruthlessly. You really have to drink the Koolaid. It's hard to get promoted. All of this is especially true in the Doc Group. There are some good managers, but most are fresh out of a remake of "Mean Girls." You can learn to be a good writer here, but if you want to have fulfilling tech writing work, go elsewhere.
