      GREAT work life balance Great perks - they took ALL of their employees from all over the world to universal studios FL for their 35th anniversary! This happens every 5 years. Other perks include - summer weekend outing to New Hampshire, Beer Tuesdays, Free Breakfast, cookies, fun people to work with, very fancy campus in Natick MA Stable company growth Good quarterly cash bonus Great management Amazing company culture - fun people who like to do good work together!

      I've been working for MathWorks more than 4 years. Great people, stable products, and a healthy work life balance.

      Cons

      If you don't need to learn new programming languages, don't need to learn how to develop distributed systems, or don't need to learn modern Dev/Ops, this is a great company for retirement. Otherwise working for the company for a long time may leave you behind in the modern era, because the company's main products are supposed to be installed and run on a standalone machine. You don't get to work on modern technologies other companies such as Netflix, Uber, or Airbnb have been using. Read engineering blogs or watch tech talks to see if you are keeping up with latest technologies: if not, you'll soon find yourself outdated in software industry.
