Pros

For the most part, MBDA seems to care about its employees. The benefits (excluding pay) are pretty good. The approach to flexible working is generally excellent, but this is in part dependent on your manager. Some managers do value their teams and try to support individual developments where possible.

Cons

Generally, if you raise an issue when working at MBDA, the best outcome to expect is to be reassured by supportive but empty words, leading to no improvements to the situation. Some managers are not good at managing people, and a subset of these treat their employees very poorly. This is generally not addressed by the managers above them. There are few opportunities for development, and very little internal mobility, even for sideways role transfers. Employee contributions are generally not valued highly, whether this is at the individual, team, or company level. As a result, pay is low, and annual pay rises don't match the reality of the cost of living.

Competitive pay with annual pay review and bonus, Nice site with campus atmosphere. Subsidised canteen and coffee. Good selection of company benefits including the Shares Incentive Programme. Flexible working hours.

Cons

Flexible working means that face to face interactions are reduced, which are important when building relationships.
