Pros

The pay is decent for associates. The pay is good for supervisors. The pay is below average for Store Management. The training program that sent people abroad was broken and flawed. All the good managers and district managers have either left for higher paying and respectful jobs, or were forced out/fired because they called Lidl on their bologna. Oh this was pros right?

Cons

Store Management has more experience in their left finger than a vast majority of District Managers, HQ departments, and Distribution employees. The company is being led by inexperienced children at the highest level of responsibility. Supply Chain has gotten better, just like Helen Keller did when she finally learned what water was. Logistics is a joke. Stores are receiving their deliveries halfway through peak hours/days. They preach Availability as a pillar of sale, yet no accountability is being held to those responsible for the stores half empty shelves. News flash: if Americans are shopping in Lidl for the first time and you don’t have an item, they’re most likely never coming back. Selections? Lmao. The only department doing their job and still drowning is Facilities. Too bad they’re being charged with the impossible, I’m sure all the talent in that pool is about to jump ship.

Pros

Great colleagues, excellent benefits, fun company events, and free groceries from the buying department. There are chances to grow here if you have an okay manager BUT that's rare Pay is good Promotions are for the inner-circle Travel all over Europe

Cons

You have a lot of " leaders" making money and hoping that they will stick up for their departments ( constituents) but everyone ends up getting thrown under the bus. I can't be sure if this is due to immature management, scape-goating, leadership really thinking that the workers in their departments are really to blame or if everyone is just afraid to accept personal responsibility. Maybe all the above? The worst part about Lidl is that they have so much potential to uber-successful but they are more concerned about " having power" and their own egos that they are tanking this would be great company.

Pros

Free fruit and veg offered to staff after purchasing assessed new suppliers

Cons

Bullying by management. When this was reported to a senior manager, the bully was always protected. I saw so many colleagues in tears in the bathrooms. Also, we were clearly told never to speak to people levels above us. I said hello to the managing director at the Christmas party. Simply saying that one word got me called into my managers office the following working day for a screaming fit!
