Pros

- Good rate per hour at the very begining - Ability to improve language - Ability to improve customer service - Working for realy huuuge company

Cons

If you want to work for a lidl you have to word HARD. The same store assistant , the same store manager work equaly hard. At work you have to be confident, fast and be able to solve problems on your own.

Pros

worked with a good team. Reasonable pay (but on the con sie, you really do have to work for it!)

Cons

hard work. lots of unpaid overtime. sucks if you're working a close as you can't leave until the store is tidy, some days doesn't take long but on a busy day you can be there 2 hours later, particularly if there are specials to put out. When i worked there inventory evry 6ish weeks was done manually, cue late nights (11pm) and early mornings (5am) to count up the stock by hand. This may have changed by now though!

Pros

If you want to get into the world of retail as a newcomer it is fine, since processes are very simple.

Cons

Since the business model is quite successful, longer serving staff relate this success to themselves. New staff is treated not very well.
