Worked my way from the bottom. Was hired originally as a cashier, and a year later duty manager, and now a deputy Manager. Don't get me wrong it's hard work and you have bad days as you do in every job. Due to the business growing it means you have to be hands on, efficient, and able to run a team in a fast pace environment especially as due to turnover hours are getting tighter each week. My contract is 47 hours a week, even though most of them are close downs, you have to put in the work and effort to make a career out the job. Most people who review lidl as a bad business, blah blah are the ones who aren't up for hard graft and can't hack it but if you're the right person you can go far and beyond the opportunities are endless especially as I'm only 21 and was 19 when I started now on 24k a year which is spot on for my age. There are some stores with bad management but luckily for me I was placed in a shop were everyone was lovely, and higher up peeps treated fairly and everyone equally. If you're up for a challenge and responsibilities then this is the job for you.
