Pros

Just the fact that it’s in the Big 4, but for how long?

Cons

Culture is vile. Unethical window dressing and all optics; no substance. No one takes responsibility and passes the buck; at the detriment of delivery and credibility. Values are just an eye wash

Pros

Breadth of skills - there is typically a team for everything a client could need. Above market salary.

Cons

Depth of skills - each team has a very limited number of capable individuals. Highly toxic culture: always on, drop everything and fight whatever fire is burning today. Mistakes will not be tolerated: made a mistake? That will dictate your performance rating, and people will remember it for a long time.

Pros

- Overall friendly corporate culture with benefits on par with other competitors in the industry - Flexible work arrangements (unless your direct superior took it literally and contact you at 7-8 pm feeling entitled) - Great exposure in terms of the types of business and assets - Quite an ideal starting point for a fresh grad to gain exposure

Cons

- (Personal experience) Incompetent and disrespectful direct superior who ruined the whole experience and led to me leaving the firm due to the toxicity - Steep initial learning curve if you have no prior experience, it's more likely than not that no one would be there to guide you if you happen to join the firm during peak season - Repetitive work and tight deadlines - Unnecessary internal bureaucracies - Annual promotion is unfair for those who joined the firm in the middle of the performance assessment period, which may take up to 1.5 years for them to get their first promotion regardless of their performances
