      Pros

      Professional training was great, in order to cater to our customers (manufacturing/fab), every one in automation was given appropriate training to serve better. Got an opportunity to take on multiple tasks, roles and projects giving an opportunity to explore options in the same department. Most all of my co-workers were great. There are always ups and downs up overall we were challenged and over all good experience.

      Cons

      Growth opportunities depending on location is rather stagnant. Even though people took on several project and different roles -project management, system analyst, programmer and DBA and was ranked well, the title and salary was not very satisfactory. Here is also no opportunity to move to different departments to pursue other opportunities.

      Pros

      There is bleeding edge research on microprocessors going on in the company, and potential to be involved in a team that design innovative products. Change to work with many smart people.

      Cons

      A lot of management level. Slow decision making processes sometimes. Sometimes resistance to change the process of doing things. Long meetings that are not nessarily and not entirely helpful to completing projects. reward and compensation system not entirely fair, and it is not that easy to move around and change jobs in the company. Though there are very cool jobs around, that are far and few in between.
