      Great culture and stability but pay is low in comparison to the industry average

      Great culture with wonderful people, company is very forward thinking, provides a lot of stability

      Cons

      Extremely competitive so promotions are very hard to come by, average salaries are below industry standard despite being the largest P&C market in Canada (unless you are an external candidate or are part of the commercial development training program), employees that begin their career with Intact will find it difficult to move from entry level salaries to what is considered to be an industry standard salary for underwriting positions. Workload is also extremely demanding.

      Promotions are a possibility, great people in the office

      Cons

      Very stressful workload which is unmanageable. They got rid of the Total Loss department and made adjusters take on this extra work but did not increase the salary.
