Pros

Understand how to manage Channel Partners. Network with loads and loads of Channel Resellers. Understand issues/processes with the distribution business. Getting a job at Ingram is a piece of cake. They'll hire you if you act competent in the interview. Job security is good.

Cons

Pay scale does not match market standards. Increment is very menial (4%-7%) Infrastructure is HORRIBLE. (Desktop PCs from the 90s/Take awfully LONG to start) Basic things like access to email over the phone is not provided. Very limited technical growth. Distributor sales folks are neither respected by partners/resellers nor by principle vendors. Attrition rate is very high. People come and go as they see no benefit sticking around.

Poor work culture

Pros

1. Stable job with decent pay. 2. Good Work life balance. 3. Good career opportunities if one is lucky enough.

Cons

1. Poor culture is creeping in to the company (specifically in the Chennai office) because of the Chennai HR lead and some people from the leadership groups. 2. Biased decisions taken all the time. And unequal treatment and opportunities are given based on employees looks and preferences. 3. Some managers might put your life in a hell of a situation if you are not lucky enough. They practice micromanaging. 4. The Chennai office has the worst basic facilities at the work place. 5. The morale of the company is very low right now and it is only getting worse.

Pros

I met a lot of good people, some are still my friends. Easy work Hybrid 2 days in office A lot of free Vendor peripherals

Cons

Poor and uneducated management High-school mentality Eaves dropping on phonecalls, messaging and emails. This is supposed to be for training but the managers will use it to write you up. Zero empathy If you can brown nose and toe the line this place is good Very few promotions. A lot of favoritism Quota is hard to achieve They keep adding piddly squat accounts who do not buy Every rule changes daily, monthly Managers will not know a lot of answers to your questions
