Pros

regular quiz and competitions, huge inventory

Cons

no growth, ingram has a big pool of people who are still working on the same designation for more than 5 years with a flat 4-5% hike annually (ITS COMMON TO SEE MIDDLE AGED PEOPLE WORKING ON ODD PROFILES FOR YEARS) , nothing ethical, managers at branch level take bribe from dealers to give them extra credit (AND THESE ARE THE CUSTOMERS WHO TREAT INGRAM PEOPLE BADLY AFTER PAYING THEIR MANAGER) , bad environment , branch and regional managers promote their favored people everytime neglecting the genuine efforts (THIS IS THE REASON MARKET IS FULL OF EX INGRAMITES WHO ARE NOT READY TO WORK FOR THEM AGAIN) , good for management, Ingram management is always quick to get their work done from employees and becomes dead slow when something is in the favor of employee or customer, bad personal team, most of the Hr's are hard core professional ladies who know when to show a carrot while hiring and after on boarding they change benefit structures, ITS BETTER TO LOOK FOR OTHER OPTIONS BEFORE GETTING INTO THIS MESS

Pros

A lot of my team never even showed up to work, and would just randomly email you that they decided to work remote for the day. You pretty much make your own schedule. No one is micromanaging you

Cons

No potential job growth because they love to put people in a box - strict rules about how you have to be in your same position for over a year before you can change roles. So many people are leaving the company constantly that they don't want to promote anyone because the turn-over rate is already so high. Poor management - most people in management are only in that position because of "how long" they have worked there, not because of their skill set. My manager spent long hours surfing the web, looking at gossip columns online, or just plain gossiping in general.

Pros

Great environment for younger folks to learn different positions, corporate processes and culture (both good and bad). Don't work in IT or operations - total burn out. Great opportunity to learn and be exposed to market leading vendors. Most good folks leave to join manufacturer partners.

Cons

Unfortunately longer term success and career path has more to do with political relationships and/or being a "yes" person than it does with anything else. There are lots of good people there but if you're not in the club, you're out. Lots of talk about "culture" and "the people" but unfortunately it's just that - talk.
