Bad policies, below average salaries, no recognition for hardworking people, good only for below average people
Pros
Good training for freshers Good infrastructure in terms of building and facilities (not that good in Chandigarh, though) Onsite opportunity (if you cry for it) Good software development and delivery processes defined (never used)
Cons
Very low salary. Very poor onsite salary. If you are going with family. Very few benefits, car loan allowance, house loan allowance etc have been discontinued (due to recession they say) No recognition for hard and productive work. Even if you have done good job for the client and client is very very happy, you will get poor rating because you did not create 2 KM documents or submit research papers. Anti-employee policies are creating a college and government like environment, where you need to mandatorily complete x hours daily, create y documents, pass n internal tests, in order to get good rating or promotion. So, its the non productive work that counts for ratings and promotions. Very very incompetent peers, and you are asked to make them competent. No focus on technology, learning and quality, only focus is creating hype for small things internally as well as in media, business and share value. Very poor internal communication, but very good media management. All they need is media attention. Many times employees come to know about policies from news on national television channels. Powerless middle and lower management. No flexibility in policies that make day to day working very hard.
