Pros

Pay, RSUs, WLB, People, Culture

Cons

I joined during a hyper-growth phase and unfortunately all these phases has done is water down the culture and introduce bad practices. What was once an agile, fast moving company has turned into a behemoth without much direction. The influx of additional people during 2018, 2021 have brought their bad practices from other organizations and without strong leadership at Indeed, has given these people free reign to run amok inside of indeed. Inflating their own titles and perform kingdom building. Indeed culture was TOO nice and SLT wouldn't put their foot down and address the problem. Instead they gave toxic people blank checks to go on hiring sprees, duplicating efforts and teams in the process. Some parts of the company are extremely slow moving. I'm talking 1+ month to add a button to a UI. It's laughable it takes that long but I'm not joking. Indeed had a competitive edge at one point, they squandered that lead and now other startups are coming to eat their lunch. I give Indeed 5-10 before they go the way of Monster.com

Pros

- Unlimited PTO. - Flexible schedule. - Work from home, with some departments. - 401k matching. - Good Insurance. - A great introduction to get your foot in the tech realm.

Cons

- No growth. - Internal mobility is a nightmare. - Salary. - A lot of issues in regards to the product, that we are on the front lines defending. - Metrics change entirely each quarter. - The title "Dedicated Client Success Specialist" is not transferrable to the industry, it should be Client Success Manager.

Thanks for leaving a review of your current work experience at Indeed and to your over 5 years of service. We’ve only been able to grow to where we are today thanks to Indeedians such as yourself. As you mentioned, we have a lot of positives working at Indeed, including Open PTO, a flexible work schedule, matching 401k and good insurance, all designed to reflect the needs in today’s work environment. Our salary ranges are reviewed no less than annually to ensure competiveness with our local workforce markets. Additionally, once you factor in quarterly bonuses, long term incentives and perks and benefits the company provides, the total compensation is tailored to ensure competitiveness in a local market. For career development, we offer a generous L&D budget for all full-time employees, while also providing courses to further career growth; we encourage you to review the course catalog on the intranet. Glassdoor allows employees to provide reviews once a year, so I do hope that you submit another review in November this year to see if we have improved, or where we still have areas to work on.

Pros

Great building amenities, great PTO

Cons

Buyers beware, what Indeed advertises vs what it's really like. There is a serious lack of diversity in management. Poor management: - They're quick to point out your flaws publicly and make themselves look good - They're not interested in supporting you grow, they'll take your ideas for themselves - When it comes to reviews they will tell you reasons why you don't get promoted that was not previously communicated - Favouritism - those that do get promoted are not TBAs who pose a threat to the delicate egos of the leads - Disorganized - management with no experience or training - Poor communication

Hi there. Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review about working at Indeed. Inclusion is an extremely important issue for Indeed’s leadership team and has been for some time. As our company grows, diversity in our leadership is also growing. We’ve made a number of female and BAME hires at senior level recently and it is a continued focus for CEO, Chris Hyams. We do not promote favoritism within our business when it comes to promotions and use robust assessment and selection methods when putting internal and external candidates through the interview process for open roles. It is worrying to hear your feedback and we’d love to speak to you further on it. Please reach out to us on inside@indeed.com
