Pros
Good place to work if you have want something stable (when you have a family and what not). People are very jovial to talk to. It is easy to assimilate to the IBM environment. IBM provides many opportunities to join and get to know the community.
Cons
Entry level pay isn't so good. IBM isn't a company for college grads. When I worked as a Technical Specialist, I didn't feel they paid me well enough for my services to the development of web applications. I mean, again, if you need a stable job where you can work for 30 years, IBM is a good place to work. But other than that, there is no progress for a young career as myself.
