Pros
This company changed the way the world works. Very smart people, especially in R&D and the Consulting business. Once your in, you can stay for the rest of your life and change job role every second year or so. As long as you do your job, no one cares, how, when or where you are doing your job. If you are in consulting, you can work with the world most famous brands. All of them work with IBM. The management made the right shifts to turn around business with cloud and cognitive computing.
Cons
Depending on your business unit (Sales, Marketing,etc.) you might be working 30% of your time with admin stuff. In Consulting, pressure is extremely high but compensations are low. As in every other Corp. strategies are shifting on a quarterly basis.
