      Pros

      As a young professional you get very quickly responsibility and growth potential. Depending on the project your are working in innovative and fast paced environments.

      Cons

      My advise —> dodge this bullet. Employees are stucked in the same salary level for years...a lot of formal obstacles before you get a promotion. You need a good network to get interesting project assignments. Employees are treated like cost or productive factors. KPI and financially driven only. Individuals preferences (e.g willingness to travel, preferred work location, etc) are 2nd —> “you must obey and be billable.” IBM follows a strong cuts plan for years, this leads to absurd decisions from management. Management praises unique and “new” company’s culture...but these values are not followed in reality Huge old dinosaur with old legacy processes and hierarchy. Unstable work environment...everyone can get fired next. In my Departement the good and motivated co workers gave notice in last months.

      Pros

      If you are willing to challenge yourself and act as a freelancer within the company, you get many freedoms to choose your own path.

      Cons

      The company is not one, but many. Some departments have embraced more modern ways of working, others are still stuck in old times. Management is highly driven by quarterly incentives, leading it often without a vision. Lots of technical debt on technology side.
