Great place to work, but may depend upon your location
Pros
A hidden gem, with a focus on business outcomes and technology, although especially the latter seems to be lost in the public eye. Employees are treated with respect, and in 25+ years, I have never witnessed anything that would give you the idea that IBM doesn't walk the walk in terms of inclusion, which has been a core value for decades by now, long before it became popular. Compensation seems to vary by country - personally I can't complain, especially when I compare with stats out there. But e.g. in the US, other places like the hyperscalers may pay way more - but they are also very picky.
Cons
There is a clear aversion of risk in favor of steady long term results. Which is good in terms of job security, but also bad in terms of e.g. stock exploding. Bold moves happen rarely, although Quantum would certainly quality. Management is very head-heavy. Due to its size, there are a couple of levels in the hierarchy, which is fine. However, there is a tendency not to give a lot of power to the lower ranks.
